The inaugural year of the festival will screen more than 20 films selected from 16 countries as diverse as India, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and the United States, with many filmmakers attending. The festival will be held at Levity Mountain, an organic farm, homestead and symbol of community engagement in Manchester.
The festival opening will be held at 7pm on Friday, with shortlisted films to be screened on Saturday. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Sunday.
