Current Event Discussion Group with Chris Graf

February 28, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

The Thursday Equinox Discussion Group is an ongoing exchange of ideas and opinions on current events topics. The group is led by Chris Graf who now lives full time in Vermont after completing almost 40 years as a high school Social Studies teacher. Chris is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, holds a Masters Degree in United States History from Montclair State University. In 1993 he was finalist for NJ State Teacher of the Year and has received recognition for his contributions to K-12 education for his work from colleges and other education related organizations.

As each discussion group unfolds, Chris most enjoys the opportunity to continue to focus on the two core goals he brought to his classroom. First, to give people accurate historical and current events information about social science topics and second, to provide an environment which fosters thinking and the development of opinions based on information from as many perspectives as possible. More than anything he sees himself as an information resource who loves to share information about both the past and present.

Residents are encouraged to attend the next current event discussion on Thursday, February 28th at 3 p.m.in the Equinox Village Library. This is a free event; public inquiries may contact Kylee at [email protected] for more information.
