JK Adams, the renowned Southern Vermont-based business known for its handcrafted wooden home goods, was featured this morning on ABC’s beloved show, Live with Kelly and Mark. Broadcast nationwide to millions of viewers, the program highlighted the customization of JK Adams’ beautiful kitchen boards with stunning visuals.
The show began with legendary pop icon Cher joining Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos to discuss her new autobiography, Cher: The Memoir, Part One.
The spotlight then turned to JK Adams during the “Get a Jump on Black Friday Bargains” segment. Host Monica Mangin introduced JK Adams’ signature Turnabout Board, calling it “the type of cutting board that will last a lifetime.”
While the show aired, the JK Adams team gathered at the company’s flagship store in Dorset, Vermont, for a “watch party.” The celebration was symbolic of the team’s shared passion for quality, community, and tradition – values that have defined the company for nearly eight decades. The company’s official 80th Anniversary is December 31, 2024.
“This is an incredible opportunity,” shared JK Adams CEO, Adam Sigel. “Having this spotlight as we celebrate our 80th year in business is so exciting.”
A favorite of America’s Test Kitchen, the Turnabout Boards featured in the segment were emblazoned with custom engravings made in the JK Adams’ workshop, including an “M & K” for Mark and Kelly, and “Consuelos,” for Mark’s family name. Known for its innovative design—including a juice groove to prevent spills—and its customization options, the Turnabout Board wonderfully exemplifies JK Adams’ dedication to creating functional, heirloom-quality products.
Mangin emphasized its versatility on-air, saying, “This is a great gift for the hostesses in your life.”
Ripa and Consuelos joined in with enthusiasm, with Kelly declaring the boards “So nice!” and Mark directing viewers to the on-screen QR code to shop the products at 50% off for this special event.
For Sigel and JK Adams Director of E-Commerce, Jessi Kerner, the collaboration was about more than just business. “When someone receives a gift with their name on it, it feels deeply personal,” Kerner explained. “And when that gift is crafted to last a lifetime, it becomes a part of their story. Even after 80 years, there are still people discovering who we are. This is a chance to bring them into the JK Adams family.”
For weeks leading up to the show, JK Adams’ workshop buzzed with activity as the team prepared inventory for the nationwide promotional collaboration. The effort reinforced JK Adams’ core commitment to Vermont community values. As a result of their hard work, the customized boards will be available through a timely promotional partnership, where customers can directly purchase the boards throughout the weekend of Friday, November 22 – Monday, November 25 at 6 am, on the show’s Official Shopify Portal for a fantastic 50% discounted rate on selected items.
“This is the kind of exposure that energizes us,” Sigel noted. “It introduces new customers to our products, helps us grow, and strengthens our Vermont roots.”
As the team at JK Adams reflects on this moment, it’s clear that the collaboration with Live with Kelly and Mark is more than just a highlight of their 80th year in business. It’s a celebration of the legacy they’ve built – and a reaffirmation of the timeless quality and appeal of Vermont-made craftsmanship—shared with millions across the country.
