Masterclass – Deborah Buck, violin
Masterclasses allow the audience to experience firsthand how chamber music is refined and brought to a
whole new level. Violinist Deborah Buck will work with students from our Chamber Music Intensive,
offering insights on interpretation and style. Described by The Strad magazine as “Particularly impressive
for her surpassing degree of imagination and vibrant sound,” Ms. Buck has built a strong career as
chamber musician, concertmaster, soloist, and teacher. Longtime member and first violinist of the Lark
Quartet, she is acting concertmaster of the Stamford Symphony, Assistant Professor of Violin at the
Purchase College Conservatory, SUNY, and Co-Executive Director of Kinhaven Music School in Weston.
