Leath Tonino, nature writer and traveler, will come to Northshire and encourage us to look at Vermont through geography, natural history, human experience, local tradition, season, and atypical outings to better understand the meaning of our place.
The phrase “an animal a thousand miles miles long,” attributed to Aristotle, refers to a sprawling body that cannot be seen in its entirety from a single angle, a thing too vast and complicated to be knowable as a whole.
