March 23 – 24
The Bennington County Sugarmakers Association would like to invite everyone to the 21st annual Maple Weekend Open Houses, to be held Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24. Eleven sugarhouses throughout the county will be welcoming visitors to partake in free, educational family fun. Each sugarhouse has different activities planned, as well as a chance to sample and purchase maple products.
The participating sugarhouses include: the Lourie Family’s Mountain Valley Maple Farm in West Rupert, Merck Forest and Farmland Center in Rupert; Dutton’s Farm Stand in Manchester Center; the Sugar Shack in Arlington; Bill and Susan Freeman’s Glastenview Maple Farm in Shaftsbury; Mance’s Tree Farm, the McEnaney family’s Wing Farm, the Kobik family’s Maple Hill Maple, and Keith Armstrong Farm, all in Bennington; Ball Brook Maple, in Pownal, and Danny and Joanne Birch in Readsboro.
